Building Impact Makers – A Saints Summer Series

Launching in Summer 2026, all kids ages 5–16 can explore, create, and grow at St. George’s School in ways that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence. From hands-on art, writing and literacy, to coding, robotics, sports, and leadership experiences, our camps give students the opportunity to try new things, develop skills, and make memories with peers. Each program reflects our commitment to learning, character, and community, encouraging collaboration and self-expression while allowing your child to uncover new passions and to build confidence.

Spark Impact: Where Curiosity Begins

Friendly, imaginative camps introducing young learners to big ideas through creativity, play, and exploration.

  • Aerospace Adventurers: Exploring The Skies And Beyond | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24

    Aerospace Adventurers invites campers to venture on a hands-on journey through flight, rockets, and life in space. The program explores airplane lift and thrust, rocket launches, astronaut training, and future aircraft and rover design. The week culminates in a “Mission To Mars” Showcase, where students tackle rotating problem-solving stations to build confidence, collaboration, and STEM skills.
  • Code And Create | July 6–10, July 13–17

    Code And Create is a practical Summer Program that teaches students the fundamentals of block-based coding through hands-on projects. The week starts with foundational exercises in logic and sequencing to get everyone comfortable with the tools. As the sessions progress, participants move into collaborative labs to build their own games, animations, and digital art. By the end of the week, students will have completed several functional projects, helping them develop problem-solving skills and the confidence to bring their digital ideas to life.
  • Design And Discover Art Camp | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24

    Design And Discover is a hands-on art camp that celebrates creativity, experimentation, and the joy of working with both traditional and unexpected materials. Projects may include recyclable sculptures, wearable art, chemical-reaction art, and nature-inspired creations. Each day invites students to explore new techniques, discover their own artistic style, and build confidence through creative risk-taking.
  • Future Cities: Sustainability And Urban Architects | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    Future Cities invites campers to explore sustainable urban design through hands-on, real-world projects. Students will focus on sustainable planning, urban mapping, and the integration of nature into city spaces. They will also learn about SMART city features, including charting land use, green roofs, and indoor planters. They may visit local sites, practice scale and infographic design, and reflect on how thoughtful architecture shapes communities. The week culminates in a “Most Sustainable School” Challenge, where students pitch innovative designs and build confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Literacy And Identity Through Picture Books (Two Week Camp) | July 6–17, July 20–31

    Literacy And Identity is a camp which supports early literacy while exploring identity, belonging, and diversity through picture books. Students engage with texts from local, Indigenous, Mexican, and other diverse authors. Through shared reading, discussion, and art responses, students strengthen literacy skills while building empathy and cultural awareness.
  • Mysteries And Magic: Tricks, Illusions, And Performance | July 20–24, July 27–31

    At Mysteries And Magic, kids will learn about the science behind magic. Over five days, they will explore simple tricks, mind-bending illusions, and STEM-inspired experiments that show how math, physics, and chemistry make magic possible. Campers build confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills as they practice and perform their own tricks, culminating in a Student-Led Magic Show for friends and family. This camp makes science fun and accessible, fostering a sense of wonder for every child.
  • Myths & Legends: Ancient Adventures Of The Gods | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    Do you love legendary heroes, daring quests, and magical worlds? Myths & Legends brings Greek, Roman, Norse, and Indigenous stories to life through hands-on games, creative movement, and drama. Campers explore the lessons behind these myths — such as teamwork, loyalty, and courage — while connecting the stories to their own adventures. Each day will be full of reflection, challenges, and collaborative activities that spark curiosity, cultural awareness, and a sense of belonging.
  • Patterns In Nature | July 20–24, July 27–31

    Patterns In Nature invites campers to explore the beauty of patterns in the world around them through art, storytelling, sound, and hands-on creation. Each day, students design and make a new project, from nature-inspired mandalas and outdoor installations to looping soundscapes and their own pattern book, which they will take home at the end of the week.
  • Speak And Shine (Morning, Half-Day Camp) | July 20–24, July 27–31

    Ever wanted to shine on stage, tell your story, or be a TV reporter for a day? Speak And Shine is a half-day camp where students will memorize fun poems, give a mini speech about something they love, host their own mini podcast, and try out all kinds of speaking challenges with their friends. They will also play games, practice their voice and body language, and build confidence in a fun, supportive way. By the end of the week, campers will be ready to demonstrate everything they’ve learned in a special performance for their family at Speak Up & Shine!
  • Startup Stars: Imagine, Create, Launch! | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    Imagine transforming a spark of inspiration into a real-world venture. At Startup Stars, campers step into the role of young entrepreneurs as they imagine ideas, create solutions, and learn how successful ventures and social enterprises are launched. Through hands-on challenges and team-based projects, students identify real-world problems in their communities and design innovative solutions. Campers will strengthen their ideas through brainstorming, prototyping, and collaboration, all while building core skills in innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Young Authors Studio: Reading, Writing & Imagination | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    Young Authors Studio sparks the imagination of young writers, helping them create their own stories from start to finish. Campers develop characters, build settings, craft exciting problems, and explore revision through playful, hands-on activities. By the end of the week, each student will publish their very own illustrated storybook, gaining confidence, creativity, and a love of storytelling along the way.

Hands-on, skill-building camps give students the chance to prototype, problem-solve, and apply emerging interests.

  • Balloon Bot Battles | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    Balloon Bot Battles is a Junior-Level Robotics Competition where students design and build robots to pop opponents’ balloons while defending their own. Teams collaborate, problem-solve, and compete in a final Intramural Balloon Bot Battle Tournament.

  • Grade 7 Junior Mentor Program | July 20–24, July 27–31

    Ready to build leadership skills? The Grade 7 Junior Mentor Program is a full-day experience where students explore what it means to lead with confidence, empathy, and purpose. Campers will spend their mornings shadowing camps for students ages 6–9, helping them with activities and seeing how thoughtful leadership makes a difference. In the afternoons, participants will develop their toolkit through interactive workshops and challenges that build communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and values-based mentorship skills. By the end of the week, students will leave the camp feeling inspired, confident, and ready to step into their Grade 7 year with confidence!
  • Makerspace Magic: Think, Tinker, Triumph (Half Day Camp) | July 6–10, July 20–24

    Makerspace Magic is a camp centred around the idea that a "Maker" is a versatile problem-solver who can navigate a wide variety of challenges with resilience and perseverance. By rotating through diverse mediums, from digital Tinkercad designs to physical baking projects, participants learn that while their tools may change, their ability to analyze, adapt, and retry remains their most powerful asset. Every 3D print "glitch" or unforeseen design challenge will be treated as a vital data point, teaching students to embrace the iterative design process and find confidence and enjoyment in the journey.
  • Melody Makers (Half Day Camp) | July 6–10, July 20–24

    Meloday Makers is a half-day instrumental Music Camp for students in their first or second year of playing a Concert Band instrument. Participants build technique and ensemble skills and work toward a final performance. At least one year of playing experience is required, and students must bring their own instrument (percussionists must supply their own drumsticks and xylophone mallets).

  • Saints Summer Basketball Academy | July 6–10

    The Saints Summer Basketball Academy is a high-energy, skill-focused camp for young athletes looking to build confidence, develop their abilities, and enjoy the game in a positive, supportive environment. Led by experienced coaches and supported by dedicated Recreation Leaders, the Academy offers a well-rounded Basketball experience centred on skill development, teamwork, and gameplay.

    Throughout the week, campers will focus on core fundamentals such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive positioning, while learning to make smart decisions in game situations. Emphasis is placed on proper technique and safe play, helping athletes protect themselves and others on the court. Daily sessions combine structured drills, small-sided games, and friendly competition, keeping players engaged as they grow their skills and confidence at their own pace.
  • Saints Summer Soccer Academy | July 27–31

    The Saints Summer Soccer Academy is a high-energy, skill-focused camp for young athletes looking to build confidence, develop their abilities, and enjoy the game in a positive, supportive environment. Led by experienced coaches and supported by dedicated Recreation Leaders, the Academy offers a well-rounded soccer experience centred on skill development, teamwork, and gameplay.

Tech Explorers: Coding, Robots & Games is a five-day camp for Grade 5–8 students where they’ll design games, program characters, build STEAM projects, control robots, and 3D print their own creations. Students are welcome to bring their own device and get hands-on experience with coding, problem-solving, and creative challenges that make their ideas come to life!

  • Telling The Story: A Hero’s Journey | July 6–10, July 13–17

    Telling The Story is a Creative Writing Workshop where students create a protagonist and explore the hero’s journey framework. Participants strengthen their writing voice, reading comprehension, and storytelling skills. This camp emphasizes that difficult choices, rather than strengths, shape heroism.

  • Young Voices: Media, Argument & Debate | July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    What if your ideas could be heard loud and clear? Young Voices empowers campers to explore media, engage in debate, and express themselves while building confidence and communication skills. Through interactive discussion circles, creative projects, and movement-based activities, students learn to share their ideas, listen actively, and engage with multiple perspectives. Campers take on meaningful roles like presenter, timekeeper, or illustrator while practicing collaboration, leadership, and respectful dialogue. By the end of the week, campers gain confidence in expressing their voice, thinking critically, and engaging in thoughtful discussion in a supportive and fun environment.

Advanced, real-world experiences inviting older students to navigate complexity, deepen self-awareness, strengthen personal skills, and lead projects with meaningful impact.

  • Eco-Engage: Engineering Smart Solutions For Climate Impact | July 6–10, July 13–17

    The Eco-Engage Camp invites students to design and build technology-driven solutions to real-world environmental challenges. Campers use microcontrollers, sensors, and tools like Python to collect and analyze data to guide their sustainable ideas. Through hands-on prototyping and problem-solving, students develop and present innovative solutions that demonstrate how technology can create a meaningful environmental impact.
  • Ethical Thinking And Decision-Making For Leaders | July 6-10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31

    The Ethical Thinking and Decision-Making Camp aims to develop students’ capacity for ethical thinking and decision-making. Participants explore values, empathy, consequences, and the philosophical foundations of ethics through discussion, debate, and practice; thereby, strengthening leadership and integrity. You can sign up for multiple weeks, as each week offers a unique set of experiences and learning opportunities, or sign up for one week of a powerful philosophical learning experience.

  • Experiential English (Two-Week Camp) | July 6–17, July 20–31

    Experiential English is a two-week program supporting English language development through real-world contexts. On-campus and community-based experiences will inform research, writing, presentations, and multimedia projects that build oral and written communication skills.

  • Filmmaking On A Shoestring Budget | July 13–17, July 20–24

    Lights, camera, create at Filmaking On A Shoestring! During this two-week filmmaking camp, students will learn how powerful stories can be told with just a smartphone or iPad and a great idea. Campers will explore the basics of storytelling, cinematography, and editing while discovering how everyday moments and personal experiences can be transformed into compelling short films. Working with simple tools and a “shoestring” approach to filmmaking, students will plan, shoot, and edit their own original stories. The camp concludes with a special screening where young filmmakers share their work and celebrate the creativity behind telling meaningful stories with the tools they already have.

  • Get Curious: Leadership Coach Training For Changemakers | July 13–17

    The Get Curious Camp equips students with a Leadership Coaching Toolkit that they can apply in current and future leadership roles. Students will explore who they are as leaders in their school and wider community, and create a vision for the leadership work they want to pursue. They will learn how to coach by developing skills in active listening, powerful questioning, and peer coaching through structured practice. This camp is experiential in its design, with students learning by doing through demonstration labs, peer- and triad-coaching practice, and leadership development exercises. Students will leave the camp with confidence and clarity about their next steps in leadership, as well as a toolkit of techniques to apply directly to their lives. This camp meets the requirements for completing a Graydin Coaching Certificate.

  • Invisible Universe: Particles, Waves & Quantum Wonders | July 6–10, July 13–17

    At Invisible Universe, join a real particle physicist and step inside the world of modern physics! Students will explore particle physics, quantum computing, and gravitational waves through hands-on experiments, fun puzzles, and mind-blowing demonstrations. No experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a sense of wonder as you see the universe in action!
  • Pivot: Empowering Your Narrative (Half Day Camp) | July 6–10

    Pivot supports younger high school students in reflecting on their academic and co-curricular experiences. Workshops focus on self-awareness, goal-setting, and informed decision-making to enhance high school and postsecondary planning.

  • R.A.D Collab (Representing All Disciplines, Respecting All Differences) | July 6–10, July 13–17

    R.A.D Collab is an immersive week-long Hip Hop Program where participants get to explore the different elements of Hip-Hop. The first half of each day will explore rap, beat-making, DJing, breakdancing, or one's creative expression. The second half of the day will focus on specialization, collaboration, and the creation of a Final Group Cypher Performance for families. External experts act as mentors and share their knowledge and experience throughout the week.

  • Summer Pursuit: An Outdoor Adventure | July 6–10

    Summer Pursuit is an Outdoor Education Experience for St. George’s Students only, including canoeing, expedition preparation, and a multi-day overnight hiking trip. Students develop outdoor skills, self-reliance, and teamwork aligned with Grade 9 and 10 trip outcomes. This program does not require any experience, just a willingness to contribute to the team and a sense of adventure.
  • The Analog Counter-Attack: Zines And Media Literacy | July 13–17, July 20–24

    In an age of endless feeds and algorithmic noise, Analog Counter-Attack empowers students to reclaim their voice! This camp blends media literacy with zine-making to navigate and challenge the digital world. Students will gain a foundational understanding of media history and learn that media isn't just “content”; it’s the environment we live in, shaping our perspectives. By blending critical thinking with creative production, students will finish the week having completed their own DIY publications.
